Dmitri Barcomi (he/him) is an Obie Award winning transsexual transdisciplinary theatermaker from New York City. His artistic interests include working with unusual source materials, technological experimentation, international theatrical collaborations, and honoring queer icons. Dmitri’s work has been seen throughout New York at Lincoln Center, PAC NYC, Target Margin, HERE Arts, La MaMa, BRIC, and other weird spots downtown, as well as internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Teatr Słowackiego in Kraków. Recent directing projects: She He Me: the first trans Arab play (!), Diary of a Suicide: an absurdist exhumation of Polish visual artist Andrezj Wróblewski. Dmitri is co-founder of award winning international artist collective §175 and artistic director of the new Museum of Drag. BA: The New School, MFA: Columbia.
